I was able to subsequently wipe off 99% of the Easy Off with a disposable damp rag, and did not wash it off into my marina waters.
A hint of yellowing remained on the gelcoat:
Wiping down with fresh water and vinegar removed any remaining yellow residue.
Time to order some new name decals.
